Every lesson puts you behind the wheel from the start — real skills, real Ottawa roads, not just theory.
Choose a single 1-hour lesson, or one of our 2, 5, or 10-hour packages for complete training from the basics through advanced driving. In every session, your instructor coaches you on vehicle control, parking, intersections, lane changes, highway merging, and the exact skills examiners check on the G2 and G road tests.
We don’t fill time with filler activities. Every minute goes toward making you a safe, confident driver.
You’ll feel more confident on test day because you’ve already practised the exact skills examiners check. Our instructors know Ottawa’s DriveTest routes and the manoeuvres tested most often, so your lessons are built around those specifics.
In the sessions before your test, we focus on parallel parking, three-point turns, intersections, and highway merging finishing with a short warm-up lesson to settle any last-minute nerves. Many students tell us this final practice is what made test day feel easy instead of stressful.
Once you’re ready, you can also book a car for test day through our G2 Test Car Rental or Full G Test Car Rental packages.
Nervous about your first lesson? Here’s exactly what happens:
Your instructor picks you up at the agreed location home, school, or work in a dual-control, fully insured vehicle. Before you even start the car, they’ll walk through the basics: mirrors, seat position, and controls.
You’ll spend the lesson practicing in a quiet, low-traffic area first, then move to busier streets once you’re comfortable. Your instructor gives feedback as you go, so you always know what to work on next.
By the end of lesson one, most students say the car feels far less intimidating than they expected.

No — you can book in-car lessons on their own. That said, if you’re a new driver who hasn’t completed your MTO Beginner Driver Education yet, our Online BDE Course already includes in-car hours and may work out more cost-effective.
